In the coming three years the partners will join their efforts to identify areas and target groups that can benefit from the promotion and learning of less widely used and taught languages. The partners will discuss and exchange ideas on current national and European policies in the field of language learning and will perform a research on existing good practices and methodologies for promotion of less widely used and taught languages. |

| | On 20th October 2016 a big event - an international conference ?Languages for Work and Social Integration? as the final event of the EU LLP KA2 project ?Network for Social and Market Inclusion through Language Education - SMILE? was organised at The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius. In addition to the project partners from Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Finland, The Netherlands, Malta, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey, the representatives from different Lithuanian educational, business and labour market institutions and organizations participated in this final project event.
The conference was attended by honoured guests - the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Lithuania H.E. Mr. Emilio Fernandez-Castano y Diaz Caneja, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Greece in Lithuania Dr. Christos Chatzopoulos.
The conference was opened with the welcoming words from Daiva Malinauskiene, Soros International House director and the project partner, Fernando Benavente Tendillo, the project coordinator (IFES, ES), Edita Treciokiene, a representative of the Education Exchange Support Foundation, Vilija Lukosuniene, the president of the Lithuanian Association of Adult Education and with the welcoming songs in different European languages performed by Lithuanian artists? duo Gabriele Malinauskaite (actress) and Marius Salynas (composer).
Key speakers Vilma Backiute, the head of Teacher Activity Division at Lifelong Learning Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania and Ineta Dabasinskiene, the Vice-Rector of Vytautas Magnus University presented topics covering the linguistic dimension in social and economic context and the attitudes and motivation in second language learning in Lithuania.
Then the conference participants and guests were introduced to the project SMILE and its results by Raya Stanachkova, the project coordinator (JEST, BG), and were given an unexpected surprise from the project coordinator Fernando Benavente Tendillo who performed his original SMILE song. Later during the poster session the participants were given an opportunity to learn more about the good practice examples from the SMILE database. After the poster session, one of the project partners Svetlana Rashkov (NL) made a sincere and emotional presentation ?Sory of My Life?, which was followed by the panel discussion on languages for work and social integration, moderated by Karl Viktor Gaertner, the founder and General Secretary of EURORESO (IT).
The conference was summarised by the project coordinator Fernando Benavente Tendillo.
The conference was a great success and the feedback from the conference was very positive.

SMILE PROJECT - LEARNING GREEK AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE |
| | SMILE network, goals and outcomes were presented at the event, as well as the best practices, experiences and problems regarding learning Greek as a foreign language were discussed.
The Mayor welcomed the event, which was hosted by the Municipality of Papagos - Cholargos. Of particular interest were the methods referred to the use of songs, internet and applications on mobile phones, as means of teaching LWUTL's. Representatives of the Greek Language Center, the official state body responsible for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek, the Hellenic American Union, one of the certified examination centers for the exams for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek, the Greek School "Alexander the Great", the company Action Synergy S.A. and Leksi - Logos language learning center attained the event and made significant contribution with their speeches and the demonstration of best practices.The event was well-attained and succesful.

| | Seminar took place on 2nd of may gathering 18 people from various educational institutions, including private institutions, VET schools, language centres etc. It was organized not only to introduce project SMILE, but also to give an example of project SMILE as a great way to share experiences, as well as learn and transfer them.
Smile good practices were introduced kindly inviting to share project website and its ideas to other institutions. People had their computers with them and received a small, practical tutorial on how to navigate in the website.

SMILE exploitation workshop |
| | On 10th December 2015, SIH organized an exploitation workshop of the SMILE project. The participants of the event were the representatives of various educational institutions in Vilnius.
The aim of the workshop was to present the project, the activities performed and results achieved, to present and discuss the main output of the project ? the collection of good practice examples for social and labour market inclusion through language education.
The event was a great success. The participants showed great interest in the project and its outputs; hence the feedback received indicated their commitment to implement the project achievements in educational practice.
